A hood ratchet assembly for a vehicle is provided to prevent an operation lever from being rotated in a counterclockwise direction when a hood is closed, by elastically supporting the operation lever with a torsion spring. A hood ratchet assembly includes a base installed on a radiator support member and having a ratchet, and a safety hook and an operation lever which are installed to the base and freely rotated around a rivet hinge(51). A torsion spring(4) is wound around the rivet hinge, and has first, second, and third resilient arms. A resilient projection(5) is formed on the lower left end of the base. A first locking portion(6) is formed on the safety hook, and a second locking portion(7) is formed on the operation lever.
