A pump is provided to restrain generation of vortices due to flow of a fluid by smoothly changing the cross-section of a passage from an introduction pipe to an inlet of an impeller. A pump includes a first casing, a second casing, an impeller, and a motor. The first casing has an engagement section(121) in which a communication hole(121a) is formed at a central portion of the rear surface thereof and the outer peripheral surface of the first casing is inserted into the inner peripheral surface of the second casing. An introduction pipe protrudes outward from the front surface of the engagement section. The center of the communication hole and the center of the introduction pipe are stepped. A guide member(160) makes a portion at which the communication hole and the introduction pipe meet curved.
