A movable indexing unit (4) is associated to one of the dials to cooperate with the dial so as to indicate one of the inscriptions. One dial is detachably housed in the device such that the dial is withdrawn from the device and replaced by another dial. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used in a dashboard of a motor vehicle (claimed) for indicating an operation such as speed of displacement, speed of rotation of the engine or fuel level in the tank, of the vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# One dial is detachably housed in the device such that the dial is withdrawn from the device and replaced by another dial having customized inscriptions and/or patterns, thus obtaining a customization of the instrument clusters according to the requirements of a user while customizing a major part of the dashboard of the vehicle.
