The heating base (1) for the steam cooker comprises a receptacle (11) in which the heating element is assembled. A removable separating element (50) set up in the receptacle, forms with the receptacle, a tank (40) of reduced volume in which the heating element is arranged. A vapor seal is provided between the receptacle and the separating element, with the separating element being formed by a cylindrical part (14) formed around the heating element.
