COLOR FILTER AND FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved color filter using color filter ink for ink jet to which wax beads have been added, and a fabrication method thereof.

SOLUTION: The fabrication method includes: a first step of fabricating the color filter ink for ink jet which can be ejected by an inkjet printing process and to which wax beads have been added; a second step of forming a black matrix defining R/G/B pixels on a first surface of a substrate and forming transparent electrodes on a second surface of the substrate opposite to the first surface at positions corresponding to the R/G/B pixels; a third step of injecting the color filter ink fabricated at the first step into an inkjet head and ejecting the color filter ink from the inkjet head into each of the pixels; and a fourth step of applying a predetermined voltage between the ink jet head and the transparent electrode such that the color filter ink ejected at the third step is precisely injected into each of the pixels.
