<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more fairly distribute a surplus band of a minimum band guaranteed class for UDP (user datagram protocol) traffic in the minimum band guarantee type class of MPLS (multiprotocol label switching) network. <P>SOLUTION: When either queue length "q", or "l" of a AF<SP>udp</SP>buffer 142 or AF<SP>tcp</SP>buffer 143 exceeds a threshold value q<SB>out</SB><SP>m</SP><SB>i</SB><SP>n</SP>, or l<SB>out</SB><SP>m</SP><SB>i</SB><SP>n</SP>, a UDP discard probability calculator 106 for each LSP (label switched path) at first obtains AF surplus band ex, in an output link (link band C) using traffic rates e<SB>i</SB>, a<SB>i</SB><SP>tcp</SP>, a<SB>i</SB><SP>udp</SP>of EE, AF<SB>in</SB><SP>tcp</SP>, AF<SB>in</SB><SP>udp</SP>of each LSP<SB>i</SB>measured by a traffic measuring part 102; obtains AF surplus band B<SB>i</SB><SP>udp</SP>to be distributed to UDP traffic of each LSP<SB>i</SB>; and calculates AF surplus band B<SB>i</SB><SP>udp</SP>to be distributed to the UDP traffic of the obtained each LSP<SB>i</SB>, and a discard probability Pb<SB>i</SB><SP>udp</SP>of AF<SB>out</SB><SP>udp</SP>packet of LSP<SB>i</SB>from a traffic rate b<SB>i</SB><SP>udp</SP>of AF<SB>out</SB><SP>udp</SP>of the LSP<SB>i</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
