The method involves directly or indirectly fastening a disk (1) of a motor vehicle at a body (12) of the vehicle using an adhesive sealing (5). The adhesive sealing is heated and cut for detaching the disk. The adhesive sealing is pierced with a wire (3) that has two ends. The two ends of the wire are fastened at a retaining unit (6). The wires are heated and moved along a periphery of the disk. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for scouring out a disk.
