An LCD is provided to make it possible to control the length of a lamp wire as occasion demands, regardless of models of lamps, by using a length controller, which is wound by a portion of the lamp wire. A light guiding plate is disposed on a rear surface of an LCD panel. Lamp parts are disposed along one side of the light guiding plate. The lamp part includes a lamp body for irradiating the rear surface of the LCD panel with light, lamp electrodes provided at both ends of the lamp body, a lamp wire(65) connected to the lamp electrodes, and a connector connected to an end of the lamp wire. An inverter(110) is connected to the connector, and supplies an electric power to the lamp parts. A bottom chassis(100) contains the lamp parts. A length controller(120) is provided in the bottom chassis, and is wound by a portion of the lamp wire. |
