<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium battery having large discharge capacity by effectively using a battery active material. <P>SOLUTION: On the manufacturing method of the lithium battery, a laminated electrode is formed by laminating a positive electrode containing lithium compound, a negative electrode capable of storing lithium, and a separator in an assembling chamber, and the lithium battery is assembled by sealing the laminated electrode by an external can and an internal can. First, dust in gas is removed by a filter having an average pore diameter of 2 μm or less. Next, the gas is transferred to the assembling chamber, and the positive electrode, the separator, and the negative electrode are assembled in the assembling chamber. The problem of lowering of utilization efficiency of the active material in the battery is solved by limiting a volume of dust in the assembling chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
