<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant raising device for preventing scattering of hydrophilous pathogenic bacteria in bottom supply to increase safety. <P>SOLUTION: This bottom supply type plant raising device 100 has a water tank which has an almost plane bottom and can store water or liquid manure through opening at least an upper part, a plane water retention sheet which is nearly equally arranged on the bottom of the water tank, has water retainability and achieves bottom supply through setting the upper surface as a placing surface to place a medium on which a plant is planted, and a pipe-like or gutter-like watering tube which is introduced into the water tank and opens a culture solution supply port to supply water or liquid manure to the water retention sheet. The water retention sheet is made of an acrylonitrile-based fiber containing an antibacterial activity metal compound comprising photocatalyst capable of demonstrating antibacterial properties with photoirradiation. As a result of this, it is possible to equally supply water or liquid manure to the roots of plants from the bottom with the water retention sheet and prevent spread of hydrophilous disease damage to be a problem of bottom supply by the antibacterial properties of the sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
