<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity to set up a fine water droplet generator to spray water within a discharge space to form OH radicals from water in conventional air cleaning apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaning apparatus creates a radical generating and holding material to keep a radical generating agent at least on one electrode of a discharging electrode 2 and a counter electrode 1 of a discharging part 5. A material holding the radical generating agent receives the radical generating agent from flowing air by conducting electricity, and forms radicals by a discharge of the discharging part from the radical generating agent held in the radical forming agent holding material, then a dust collecting part 6 in the later stage catches charged material charged by the discharging part 5 and the caught bacteria are sterilized together with the caught charged material by the formed radicals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
