<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer type thermal transfer printer capable of preventing a defect in a transferred image or a burr on a card from occurring by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This intermediate transfer type thermal transfer printer sticks a film F to a card S over the whole face by means of a heat roller 23 by advancing the card S. After that, it separates the heat roller 23 from the card S and the film F, and then stops the conveyance of the card S for a time period of 3-10 seconds in a condition that the film F is stuck to the card S. After the conveyance of the card S is stopped and the card S is sufficiently cooled, the film F is peeled from the rear end side of the card S by setting back the card S in a direction of a rear end peeling pin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
