<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system for using a plurality of same type of ink cartridges whose ink characteristics are different. <P>SOLUTION: This print system is configured to generate device ID unique to the ink cartridge from cartridge information recorded in an ink cartridge, and to associate the device ID with a driver 32 corresponding to this.
