BIOMETRICS AUTHENTICATION APPARATUS AND TERMINAL UNIT, AND AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication apparatus by which it is possible to surely hold and remove a biological body over and from the authentication apparatus when sampling a biometric feature for a plurality of times in registration of a biometric feature to biometrics authentication.

SOLUTION: The biometrics authentication apparatus includes a liveness sensor for detecting whether a biological body exists in the biometrics authentication apparatus. Each time a biometric feature is acquired during registration of the biometric feature, it is decided whether the biological body is removed once from the apparatus according to the sensor output. When the biological body is not removed, a guidance to prompt a user to remove the biological body once from the apparatus is displayed.
