<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control method usable even in small vehicles, capable of efficiently promoting the vaporization and diffusion of a depurator in a short distance in an exhaust pipe, and allowing the depurator to reach the exhaust emission control device in an equalized state and the exhaust emission control system. <P>SOLUTION: In this exhaust emission control method, the depurator F consumed by the exhaust emission control device 10 disposed in the exhaust passage 4 of an internal combustion engine E is fed into the exhaust passage 4 on the upstream side of the exhaust emission control device 10 by an exhaust tube injection device 13 for mixing it with exhaust gas G. A step 4b for diverging the exhaust passage 4 from the upstream side of the exhaust passage 4 is formed at the exhaust passage 4 to produce swirl flow in the flow of the exhaust gas G, and the depurator F is jetted to or near the step 4b to promote the atomization of the depurator F. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
