PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the configuration of a solenoid drive device capable of switching operation by utilizing electromagnetic force, and to reduce power consumption. SOLUTION: There are a pair of stationary magnets 110, 120 arranged oppositely, and a moving magnet 130 arranged between the stationary magnets. One of the stationary magnets and the moving magnet is composed of an electromagnet, and the other is composed of a permanent magnet. The moving magnet is attracted to one of the pair of stationary magnets 110, 120 by attraction magnetic force generated when current conducts to an electromagnet 130 for magnetization. The direction of current conducting to the electromagnet is changed, or current conducts to an electromagnet at an arbitrary side for attracting the moving magnet to the stationary magnet at the arbitrary side, thus switching and moving an armature 140 mounting the moving magnet 130, and hence retaining a switched state even if the conduction of the current is stopped for reducing the power consumption.
