PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reproducing a multisession disk recording medium having an audio session capable of surely performing an audio reproduction in an old-generation CD player. SOLUTION: A first section is defined as an audio session composed of only an audio track. For a disk type code area where a disk type code indicating that this specific session is composed of only the audio track is recorded, based on reproduction data from a disk recording medium having the lead-in area of the specific session, a disk type code recorded in the disk type code area of a session other than the specific session among the plurality of sessions is identified, and the process is switched to decoding processing applied to the reproduction data from the disk recording medium.
