PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform initialization operation with low driving noise when a disk apparatus of a slot loading system is initialized after a power source is turned on. SOLUTION: Whether a disk exists is judged, spin-up process of the disk is performed when the disk exists and disk ejection operation is performed until a disk ejection state detecting means 45 detects a disk ejection state and a motor of a disk loading means 26 or a disk ejecting means 44 is made to operate while the motor thereof is driven at a low driving voltage until a disk loading waiting state is detected when the disk does not exist.
