PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp discrepancy of data synchronization without the mediation of an intermediate device between subsystems connecting via the intermediate device in a serial replication system. SOLUTION: The serial replication system between a normal system storage 13 and a standby system storage 15 is equipped with a non-adjacent difference information holding means 16 at a place other than the intermediate device 3, and records non-adjacent difference information which specifies update non-reflected to a standby system storage 15 among the updates performed to a normal system storage 13 to the non-adjacent difference information holding means 16.
