PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small optical module in which an optical path displacement can be corrected and its outside diameter is not larger than a predetermined outside diameter over its entire length. SOLUTION: The optical module includes first, second and third optical modules whose outside diameters are set so as not to be larger than corresponding predetermined outside diameters over their entire lengths, and are connected together by their connecting parts. The first optical module has a first hole in which light is inputted, and a first optical component disposed in the cylindrical first connecting part. The second optical module has the cylindrical second connecting part connected to the first connecting part, the cylindrical third connecting part, and a second optical component disposed in the third connecting part. The third optical module has the fourth connecting part connected to the third connecting part, a second hole from which light is outputted, and a third optical component disposed in the fourth connecting part.
