PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxial inclinometer capable of measuring inclinations of two axes of an X-axis and a Y-axis with respect to a plane, by one inclinometer, and free from an influence of the geomagnetism. SOLUTION: In this biaxial inclinometer, an upper end of a conical balancing body 2 having a bearing 2a with a conical bottom face is attached to the center of an opposite face 1b of a spherical permanent magnet 1 with one magnetic pole attracted onto a spherical face 1a of an upper face, and with the other magnetic pole attracted onto the opposite face 1b of the spherical face 1a, the conical balancing body 2 is supported freely oscillatably by bringing a tip end of a support column 3 into contact with the bearing 2a, a bidirectional Hall IC 4 is fixed upwards opposedly to the spherical face 1a of the spherical permanent magnet 1 with a prescribed space, and an output voltage is obtained in response to an inclination of the spherical face 1a of the permanent magnet 1 with respect to the bidirectional Hall IC 4, from the bidirectional Hall IC 4. A permanent magnet piece 21 is provided in a side way of the permanent magnet 1 to negate the influence of the geomagnetism. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
