<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus normally carrying out reading and writing of data onto an FROM on a control substrate from a ROM writer. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a CPU12 for carrying out total control, the FROM14 for storing a control program for CPU12, an ASIC13 for incorporating a watchdog timer, a ROM writer connection detecting signal line 16 for detecting connection of the ROM writer 15 in order to carry out reading and writing of the data to the FROM14, and a Watch Dog Timer stopping signal line 13 branching out from the ROM writer connection signal detecting signal line 16 to ASIC13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
