PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which does not consume unnecessary toner when performing copy inhibition processing of a special document. SOLUTION: An image read part 102 reads image information from a document, and a ground pattern recognition part 104 determines whether or not image information read by the image read part 102 is an inhibited image whose output is inhibited, and a control part 105 inhibits the image information from being written to a photoreceptor for writing image information thereto in the case that the pattern recognition part 104 determines the image information to be the inhibited image.
