PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed apparatus capable of surely retaining a horizontally reclined floor board when the floor board is liftably provided and the inside of a base body is used as a storage part. SOLUTION: This bed apparatus is provided with: the box-shaped base body 1 having an opened upper surface and the inside used as a storage part; the floor board 3 having both sides in the width direction of one end in the longitudinal direction turnably connected to one end in the longitudinal direction of the base body by a link mechanisms 4 and closing the upper face opening of the base body in a horizontally reclined state; gas springs 22 turnably connected to the floor board and the base body at one and the other end, respectively and energizing the floor board by its energizing force in a turning direction in which the other end is raised with one end as a fulcrum; and a retaining mechanism 35 retaining the other end of the floor board at the other end of the base body and prevents the floor board from turning in the raising direction, when the floor board is reclined in the approximately horizontal direction against the energizing force of the gas spring.
