PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide undershorts for kimono designed capable of satisfying a want of nature having no risk of making the bottom or the sleeves of kimono get dirty or wet and causing no untidiness in the kimono. SOLUTION: The undershorts for kimono 1 is provided with the following: a front covering part 2 covering the belly part of a wearer, a back covering part 3 covering her buttocks part, a joining part 5 joining the front covering part 2 and the back covering part 3 and applicable to displacement into a covering state where the crotch part is covered and an opening state where the crotch part gets open, and a first holding part 10 and a second holding part 20 each shaped like a belt, formed along the front covering part 2 in a waist direction, and enabling part of clothes including the bottom and the sleeves of the kimono to be held.
