PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, provided with an image recording part for recording images by carrying recording paper from a recording paper placement part to a recording paper delivery part through carrying passages, and an image reading part provided above the image recording part for reading images on documents, in which an auxiliary tray is provided to be usable as a manually inserting tray or the like, and it is compactly housed when unused. SOLUTION: A complex machine 1 is provided with a printer part 2 for recording images, a tray housing part 41 recessed in an upper surface of the printer part 2, an auxiliary carrying passage 35 opened on the back surface side of the printer part 2 to introduce recording paper upstream of an image recording position of the carrying passage 23, the auxiliary tray 19 of which attitude is changeable to a paper feeding attitude to guide the recording paper to the auxiliary carrying passage 35 and a housing attitude to be housed in the tray housing part 41, a scanner part 3 provided on the upper side of the printer part 2 to be openable/closable in such a way that the upper side of the tray housing part 41 is opened, and a feed roller 42 provided to approach/separate from the auxiliary tray 19 in the paper feeding attitude.
