PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle suspension device capable of setting the damping force of a shock absorber to suit an undulate road surface. SOLUTION: The vehicle suspension device is composed of sprung vertical acceleration sensors 1<SB>F</SB>and 1<SB>R</SB>located in the central part of a vehicle in a position about the fore-and-aft direction for sensing the vertical direction acceleration acting on the vehicle, a transverse acceleration sensor 2 located in the center across the vehicle width for sensing the transverse acceleration of the vehicle, and strain sensors 3<SB>F</SB>and 3<SB>R</SB>installed in the central part of the torsion bar part of each of the stabilizers 5 installed at the front wheels and the rear wheels, whereby the controlling damping force of the shock absorber 4 is set at the optimum values for a normal straight path, curving path, and undulated path using the output signal value from the transverse acceleration sensor 2, the output signal values from the sprung vertical acceleration sensors 1<SB>F</SB>and 1<SB>R</SB>, and the output signal values from the strain sensors 3<SB>F</SB>and 3<SB>R</SB>.
