PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving unit which enables the shortening of the drive time at lens drive, the silence at lens drive, and the accurate positioning thanks to lens's stability, and also provide an imaging device. SOLUTION: A lens driving unit includes a first stator unit comprising a magnet 1, the first yoke 2, the second yoke 3, the first bobbin 4, and the first coil 5, a second stator unit comprising the third yoke 6, the forth yoke 7, the second bobbin 8, and the second coil 9, a lens holder 10, and a base plate 14. A magnet 1 is arranged between the first and second stator units, and the magnetic pole teeth 2a-7a of the first to fourth yokes 2-7 are made in spiral form where they face one another along the magnetizing parts 1a-1n of the magnet 1. A guide cover 12 engages with the guide part 10b of the lens holder 10 capably of axial shifting, and it is fixed in the hole 14d of the base plate 14. A sway stopping cover 13 engages slidably with the groove 10c of the lens holder 10, and it is fixed in the pit 14b of the base plate 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
