PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector capable of improving durability and reliability of a dust cover. SOLUTION: This protector 4 covering apart around the dust cover 1 has an elastic body 40, which is made of a rubber material having the adjusted hardness of 30 to 72 degrees (JIS durometer type A). The elastic body 40 and a fixed part 41 are integrated by an integrating means, and it is preferable that the integrating means of the elastic body 40 and the fixed part 41 is selected from a chemically integrating means or a physically integrating means.
