PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driver which can prevent core swing of a plurality of types of piles different in external dimension from each other by using a single swing stopping device. SOLUTION: The swing stopping device 21 is formed of: right and left arm members 24, 22 pinching a pile 16 from right and left directions; a right front lever 36 and a right rear lever 38 supported by the right arm member 24; a left front lever 27 and a left rear lever 29 supported by the left arm member 22; and right and left lever cylinders 43, 34. Then the right front lever 36, the right rear lever 38, the left front lever 27, and the left rear lever 29 are steplessly rotated in directions that approaches to/separates from the axial center O of the pile 16 by the lever cylinders 43, 34. Thus the right front lever 36, the right rear lever 38, the left front lever 27, and the left rear lever 29 are positively abutted on an external surface of the pile 16 or a pile 16' different in external dimension from the pile 16, and in this manner the pile driver can prevent core swing of the plurality of piles different in external dimension from each other by using the single swing stopping device 21.
