PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window frame body capable of connecting a vertical frame body to a horizontal frame body with sufficient attachable connection strength and, at the same time, reducing cost. SOLUTION: The window frame body is equipped with a pair of vertical frame bodies 2 and 2, a pair of horizontal frame bodies 3 and 3 and four pieces of a connecting member 4 having an approximately L-shaped cross section constituted by connecting a pair of abutting plate sections 5 and 6 in a state at right angles to each other, a pair of vertical frame bodies 2 and 2 and a pair of horizontal frame bodies 3 and 3 are assembled in a square frame-shape to form a square frame, one abutting plate section 5 of the connecting member 4 is placed in a state to abut on the end face section of the vertical frame body 2, the vertical frame body end face section and the abutting plate section 5 are fixed with a screwing member 8, the other abutting plate section 6 of the connecting member is placed in a state to abut on the end face section of the horizontal frame body 3 adjacent to the end face section of the vertical frame body 2, and it is so characterized that the horizontal frame body end face section and the other abutting plate section 6 are fixed with the screwing member 8.
