An electronic device and a control method thereof are provided to have a continuous search function and to increase or decrease the search speed. A display member(30) receives a signal processed by a signal processing member(20) and displays an image. The display member also includes a display module for displaying an image and a module driving member in order to process a signal inputted from a signal processing member and display the processed image on the display module. Plural search information is stored in a memory. An interface producing member(60) produces an interface screen and displays the interface screen on the display member. A control member(50) increases or decreases the search speed related to the search information when a continuous search function is selected.
