An auto matching compensating circuit of a mobile communication terminal and a method thereof are provided to stably maintain the transmission output of a high power amplifier by compensating impedance mismatching between an antenna and the high power amplifier, which is caused by a change in a communication environment, thereby improving the speech quality and increasing standby time by preventing an over current of the high power amplifier, and extending life span of the terminal. An auto matching compensating circuit of a mobile communication terminal comprises the followings: a high power amplifier(21) which performs high power amplification on a transmission signal and outputs the amplified transmission signal; a variable matching circuit(22) which changes a control voltage, and highly and lowly controls impedance, and matches impedance of the high power amplifier(21); a matching detection unit(23) which detects the transmission output of an output stage of the variable matching circuit(22) and delivers the level of the transmission output to a matching control unit(24); and the matching control unit(24) which determines the level of the transmission output and controls the impedance of the variable matching circuit(22) according to the degree of mismatching.
