<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image so that copy print layout is the same even if bookbinding layout is executed at either of the external device side or an image forming apparatus side when combining a copy printing function and a bookbinding output function for use. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a first bookbinding output means for inputting document data 732 to which bookbinding layout processing is performed from the external device and performing bookbinding output 733. The image forming apparatus has a second bookbinding output means which inputs document data 742 from the external device, performs bookbinding layout processing to perform the bookbinding output 743. In addition, the image forming apparatus also has a copy combination means for combining copy images different by every copy to be outputted to document data 732, 741 before or after performing the bookbinding layout processing by the first and the second bookbinding output means. In the image forming apparatus having the copy combination means, the copy combination means determines layout for combining the copy images based on whether the document data to be an object for combining the copy images is a before-bookbinding layout processing 741 or an after-bookbinding layout processing 732. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
