<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow one or more external devices to access the state of a target device so as to communicate with the target device and to control the target device. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 10 connected with the external device 30 for inputting and outputting data, through a predetermined communication means to receive data from the external device 30, comprises a data storage means for storing identification data of the printer 10; a dynamic data storage means 105 for storing the dynamic state of the printer; and a data transmitting means for transmitting the identification data of the printer 10 to the external device 30 at power-on of the printer 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
