<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio tag communication device performing transmission output control facilitating specification of a radio tag being the object of communication. <P>SOLUTION: The radio tag communication device has a distance detection section 70 which detects the distance to a body present in the same direction as the transmission directivity direction of a transmitted signal and a transmission output control section 72 which controls the output intensity of the transmitted signal according to the distance detected by the distance detection section 70, so the radio tag 14 being the object of communication is speedily specified by suitably preventing communication with another radio tag 14 which is not a target by detecting the distance to an obstacle such as a shelf 98 where it is predicted that the radio tag 14 as the object of communication exists, and by controlling the transmission intensity of the transmitted signal according to the distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
