PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst filter capable of exhibiting an excellent cleaning performance. SOLUTION: The photocatalyst filter 61 carries a photocatalyst material 61b on the filter main body 61a. The photocatalyst material 61b is prepared by adding and mixing fullerenes and/or by-product carbon material of 1-10 parts to a TiO<SB>2</SB>photocatalyst powder of 100 parts. The by-product carbon material is generated as a by-product in a fullerene producing process, and the strongest peak exists over the range of refraction angles 10-18°, and no peak exists over a range of refraction angles 23-27°in a range of refraction angles 3-30°in the refraction measuring results of X rays using CuKαray. In the result of Raman spectrum at an exciting wave of 5,145Å, peaks present in a band of G 1,590±20 cm<SP>-1</SP>and a band of D 1,340±40 cm<SP>-1</SP>, and a peak strength ratio I(D)/I(G) is 0.4-1.0, wherein the peak strengths of respective bands are I(G) and I(D).
