PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy to use vacuum cleaner by which dust in a dust collection container can be disposed with one operation without getting the hands dirty. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner comprises a dust collection container 12 having a filter 19 for catching dust 35, an opening 13 for exhausting dust 35 arranged in the dust collection container 12, a lid body covering the opening 13 in a freely opening and closing manner, a buckle 16 for keeping the lid body 14 closed, an operation part 17 for keeping the lid body 14 open by means of the buckle 16, a pushing-out plate 20 for pushing out the dust 35 in the dust collecting container 12. The operation part 17 and the pushing-out plate 20 are working together. The lid body 14 can be opened with operation of the operating part 12 and the dust can be pushed out by means of the pushing-out plate 20 working together. By this mechanism, the dust 35 in the dust collecting container 12 is disposed of with one touch of operation without getting the hands dirty. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
