PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dies (6) capable of producing short tubular formed articles suitable as toilet sand for a pet, in a high efficiency. SOLUTION: The dies are constituted by a first dies plate (28) formed with many slits (36) having arc-formed cross sectional form and a second dies plate (30) constituted with many holes (42). Each of the holes has an upstream part of which inner circumferential surface is a reverse gimlet stand type tubular form and a downstream part of which inner circumferential surface is a tubular form. By matching each of the slits with each of the holes, the first dies plate and second dies plate are piled so that the inner circumferential surface of an upstream end of the hole is positioned so as to agree with the outer circumferential edge of the slit substantially, or positioned somewhat in more outside than the above position.
