PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having a structure capable of drastically improving the transmittivity of visible light for preventing much heat from being generated in an address electrode. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel is provided with a front surface substrate 120, a rear surface substrate 140 arranged to be separated from the front surface substrate in a longitudinal direction, a dielectric wall 130 comprising a plurality of unit dielectric walls 131, 132 arranged between the front surface substrate and the rear surface substrate and dividing in one direction a clearance between a discharge cell 150 adjacent to the front surface substrate and the rear surface substrate, a plurality of front discharging electrodes 134 and rear discharging electrodes 136 which are separated and arranged in a longitudinal direction in the dielectric wall, a plurality of address electrodes 135 arranged to be separated from the front discharging electrode and the rear discharging electrode in the dielectric wall and extended in parallel so that the lateral cross-section corresponding to one discharge cell is opened, a phosphor layer 125 disposed in the discharge cell and discharge gas existing in the discharge cell.
