PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aging method which drastically reduces aging time and has a good efficiency of power. SOLUTION: This is an aging method of a plasma display panel in which aging discharge is performed by applying an aging voltage waveform including an AC voltage component between at least a scanning electrode and a sustaining electrode to a plasma display panel having a pair of scanning electrode and sustaining electrode as a display electrode. The repeating frequency of the AC voltage component at the start of aging is higher than the repeating frequency of the AC voltage component at the completion of aging. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
