PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly move a tracking objective area with respect to a motion of a moving object to prevent surely the tracking objective area from being deviated with respect to the moving object, for example, in application to a monitor, as to an object tracking method, a program for the object tracking method, a recording medium for recording the program for the object tracking method, and an object tracking device. SOLUTION: In the present invention, the deviation of the tracking objective area with respect to the moving object in the next frame is detected and corrected with pattern matching using tracking objective area of the frame prior to the processing objective frame.
