PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protector capable of improving durability and reliability of a dust cover. SOLUTION: This protector 4 covering apart around the dust cover 1 has an elastic body 40 which is mainly formed by polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer. It is preferable that the elastic body 40 contains polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer as its main component and the elastic body 40 and a fixing part 41 are mutually integrated by an integrating means.
