Low-noise asphalt and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of sound absorption and drainage by increasing durability and porosity of a pavement layer and forming many minute gaps inward. Low-noise asphalt contains: 94 weight percent aggregate mixture composed of rubble having the particle size of 5~8 mm or 8~11 mm, sand having the particle size of 0.09~2 mm and filler having the particle size of 0.01~0.09 mm; 4 weight percent asphalt pitch binder for binding up the aggregate mixture; and 2 weight percent auxiliary binder for forming minute gaps and supplying resistance against plastic deformation. Hereon the auxiliary binder is formed by mixing 25~45 weight percent asphalt pitch, 25~45 weight percent rubble particles, 5.5~10.5 weight percent softening oil, 12~22 weight percent silicate powder and 3.5~6.5 weight percent quartz powder. A manufacturing method of the low-noise asphalt comprises the steps of sorting rubble, sand and filler in the appointed particle size and mixing(S1), and mixing the aggregate mixture with binder in the appointed ratio using a stirrer having a stirring space(S2). |
