SHIFT RANGE CHANGE-OVER DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit an motor control device to execute the change-over of a shift range inadequate to a current operation parameter in consideration that the inadequate [shift range change-over command] is given to the motor control device due to unexpected factors while an AT control device has an AT side malfunction preventing function for preventing the appearance of the inadequate [shift range change-over command].

SOLUTION: The operation parameter detected by an operation parameter detecting means is input to the motor control device 9, similarly to the AT control device 10. When the [shift range change-over command] is given, the motor control device 9 determines whether the [shift range change-over command] is inadequate to the current operation parameter or not and cancels the given [shift range change-over command] when determined inadequate. The double malfunction preventing functions of the AT control device 10 and the motor control device 9 ensure high safety.
