<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper light picking-up organic emission display unit which prevents an organic film from oxidizing in upper transparent electrode formation and is capable of light emission at a low voltage. <P>SOLUTION: The unit has a substrate, an organic emission layer, and an upper electrode and a lower electrode holding the organic emission layer therebetween. The lower electrode is disposed between the substrate and the organic emission layer, the upper electrode is disposed in the opposite side of the disposition of the substrate with respect to the lower electrode, and emission light of the organic emission layer is picked up from the upper electrode side. An organic layer mainly consisting of an organic material with a heterocycle comprising one or more nitrogen atoms is provided between the organic emission layer and the upper electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
