APPARATUS, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR CALCULATING FAILURE FREQUENCY OF COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly calculate failure frequency.

SOLUTION: A communication network failure frequency calculation apparatus for calculating failure frequency between nodes by using the normality probability and failure probability of respective links constituting a communication network comprises: a storage part for storing the normality probability of respective links which are previously provided and matrix data including the product of the normality probability and failure probability; a degeneration part for degenerating respective links between specified nodes; a matrix processing part for calculating the product of the normality probability and the failure probability of the degenerated links by using an expression obtained by substituting the stored matrix data for the normality probability in an expression to be used for the calculation of the operation rate of the links degenerated by the degeneration part; and a control part for outputting the product of the normal probability and the failure probability which is finally obtained by repeating degeneration and the calculation of the product of the normal probability and the failure probability as failure frequency between the specified nodes before link degeneration operation.
