FILE POSITION INFORMATION DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file information display device capable of displaying positional information of a file even in a minimum space; and to provide its method.

SOLUTION: This file information display device is provided with: a memory for storing files by a file system method having a multilayer structure; a display part for displaying positional information of a currently-activated file out of the file stored in the memory through icons; a key input part for receiving key input for activating a predetermined file; and a control part for eliminating one of the icons displayed on the display part when the hierarchical position of a changed file is upper than an existing one and adding one of the icons when it is lower than the existing one, every time the file activated by the key input part is changed.
