<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine with a plurality of special symbol displays, capable of enhancing the amusement of a game by preventing the derivation and display of a specific result of display in one special symbol display from becoming predictable by a player based on the display mode of the other special symbol display. <P>SOLUTION: If variable display is being executed in the other variable display device when the game state of one variable display device is controlled in a jackpot game state as jackpot symbols are stopped/displayed in the one variable display device, clocking of the time elapsed from the start of the variable display being executed in the other variable display device is suspended.
