PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy storage device in which a force is not applied easily to a control board and restrictions on the control board can be lessened. SOLUTION: A plurality of capacitors 2 each having a positive electrode terminal on one end side in the axial direction and a negative electrode terminal on the other end side are arranged in the direction intersecting at least the axial direction and these capacitors 2 are sandwiched between an upper plate and a lower plate and connected electrically. In such an energy storage device, at least one of the upper plate and the lower plate incorporates a control board 140 related to a capacitor 2 while directing its in-plane direction to intersect the axial direction, and the control board 140 is provided with a hole 141 penetrating the boss 173 of a bus bar cover 170, i. e. a member for transmitting a force along the axial direction of the capacitor 2.
